Domestic Step & Stairwell Cleaning

Clients for this service fall into two distinct categories:
  • Owners and Owner Occupiers
  • Property management companies / Housing associations
Owners usually contact our teams direct and as long as there is one point of contact and payment within a block, they can set up a cleaning roster and payment arrangements accordingly. Property management company’s & housing associations usually go out to tender on an annual basis and we welcome an opportunity to tender for such work. Developments have different floor coverings and their own specific requirements. However, we felt in order to give you a flavour of what our teams can do; it would be useful to show a cleaning specification that staff work to and sign off on a weekly and monthly basis.

​Typical Weekly Maintenance Program
A Standard Clean will be carried out on every visit, (usually 52 visits per year, but this can be reduced to 25 or even 12 depending through traffic and budgets) which will consists of:
  • Sweeping down or vacuum in stairwell and removal of dust, litter and small items of debris from the stairs and all other hard floor surfaces
  • Applying water & cleaning solution, wet mopping and scrubbing (if required) the stairs, landings and deck access areas. Ensuring a dry surface is left​
  • ​Clean and polish intercom system
  • Clean and polish all entrance glass leaving it smear free
  • Clean and polish woodwork on doors and frames
  • Hoover all carpets, where power supply provided, otherwise sweep
  • Damp dust and polish all banisters and handrails, including ornate ironwork
  • Dust and wipe down all ledges and skirting boards, leaving dust free surfaces
  • Brush and tidy bin store area
  • Clean and polish handles and push and foot plates on communal doors
  • Brush and keep free from rubbish any underground/internal car parking areas
  • Sweeping and wash front and back steps
  • Sign and date ' Sign off' sheet when complete
  • Report any anomalies regarding the property to line manager
​Typical Monthly Maintenance program
  • Damp wipe all light fittings removing any marks and insect debris
  • Clean and polish all communal glass, leaving it smear free
  • Disinfect bin storage area
  • Sign and date ' Sign off' sheet when complete
  • Report any anomalies regarding the property to line manager
